CHOICE is a monthly publication that vets academic library resources with starred reviews. CHOICE recommendation is an influential factor in the Renfro's selection of books.
If you would like to have a vote on whether the library should acquire books in your field, please notify the Director of Library Services (kevin_mulhall@mhu.edu) with email that has a subject line of "Yes CHOICE." You will receive a confirmation email from CHOICE completing your account with them. The library will then periodically send you a "cardstack" from CHOICE that has several new publication titles. These are ballots that give you an opportunity to read the review of any titles of interest and "vote" for any title which you would like the library to purchase. Here's an example:
Clicking on the "Vote" button brings you to the CHOICE review and gives you the opportunity to click "yes." There's no need to click "no" unless you are strongly opposed to the item being in the library collection. Please abstain from choosing the abstain button.
