"Rock-climbing shifts cliff-face vegetation community composition based on site characteristics"

in Applied Vegetation Science, Volume 25, Issue 2, April/June 2022.

We wanted to know what effect rock climbing had on plants and lichens in Linville Gorge, NC--a popular and stunningly beautiful hiking and climbing area near MHU. Specifically, we wanted to know if rock climbing was made more difference to the vegetation that could live there than the natural variation in plants from cliff to cliff.
