The collection consists of eight series. Series One is James G.K. McClure, Jr.'s personal papers. Series Two consists of personal papers belonging to several of his family members: his father, James G.K. McClure, Sr.; his wife, Elizabeth Cramer McClure; unidentified McClure family members; and his wife's aunt, Frederika Skinner. Series Three is the organizational records of the Farmers Federation of Western North Carolina. Series Four is the organizational records of the Farmers Federation Educational and Development Fund. Series Five contains Scrapbooks. Series Six has Phonograph Records. Series Seven contains the Farmers Federation News. Series Eight consists of thirteen boxes of black and white photographs. Additional items are stored separately, including books and journals.
